John Dana Dobovan has been a broadcast television professional since his days at Hawaii Public Television in 1970. Since then he has mastered nearly every job in the industry: grip, soundman, production assistant, editor, writer, director and producer. He began as one of Hawaii's first video pioneers, shooting black and white half-inch open-reel video and made his reputation as an award-winning cameraman, shooting every conceivable sort of video program from the beaches of Waikiki to high inside the Arctic circle at the Northern tip of Norway.
