It’s not every day you see a herd of bison coming your way, but when it happened to TV reporter Deion Broxton, his response was candid and simply hilarious. While filming a report for KTVM—a Montana-based NBC affiliate—at Yellowstone National Park, Broxton was captured on camera as he spotted the herd coming towards him, before quickly getting out of the way. His reaction is so funny, it comes as no surprise that the video (which he posted on Twitter) has now gone viral.
Although the footage doesn’t actually show the bison, Broxton’s reaction says it all. He’s captured as he shifts his eyes towards the herd, who are quickly trotting towards him. “Oh, my god. Oh, my god,” he says. “Oh, no. I'm not messing with you.” He then quickly gets out of the way and rushes to his car. We don’t blame him—bison can weigh up to 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms) and run up to 35 miles (56 kilometers) per hour!
Later, Broxton posted another video on Twitter showing the bison grazing on a hill close by. He writes, “Here's the video of the bison I shot once I got a safe distance away lol.”
