You Can Spend the Night Stargazing in an Igloo Hotel on the North Pole

North Pole Igloos - Unique Hotel in the Arctic

Looking for a true adventure on your next vacation? If a little cold weather doesn't put you off, then maybe the North Pole Igloos are exactly what you’re looking for. These heated glass huts will be set up in the North Pole for just one month a year, giving a group of travelers the unique experience of sleeping on the Arctic glacier.

Ten cozy cabins are up for grabs, each with a private bathroom, as well as floor-to-ceiling glass walls for the ultimate stargazing experience. Run by travel agency Luxury Action, which specializes in high-end Arctic expeditions, the igloos have been tested for durability in extreme weather conditions. But just because this vacation takes place in the North Pole, it doesn't mean that visitors won't have a bit of luxury. A camp manager, Arctic wilderness guide, chef services, and security help make the experience both special and safe.

When the igloos aren't in the North Pole, they're moving around the Arctic glacier. April is the only month when travel to the North Pole is safe, so for the rest of the year, they're set up in Svalbard. It’s also worth noting that travel to such a precious ecosystem runs the risk of spoiling this precious environment. As such, Luxury Action takes care to mitigate this by working with guests who are considerate of the arctic climate and are informed about the climate crisis.

“All our guests who have been traveling with us are concerned by the climate crisis,” explains Luxury Action founder Janne Honkanen. “I believe they are also the best messengers for us in order to spread the word of how climate change affects our lives in the Arctic.”

While there's no word on how much this unique hotel will cost, interested adventurers can request more information via the North Pole Igloos website.

North Pole Igloos let you enjoy a unique holiday experience in one of the most remote ecosystems in the world.
