Incredible Winning Images from the 2022 Siena International Photo Awards

Greek photographer Konstantinos Tsakalidis‘ haunting look at the devastation of wildfires was named Photo of the Year in the 2022 Siena International Photo Awards. The shot captures the desperation of Kritsiopi Panayiota, an 81-year-old woman, as the flames are approaching her home during the serious forest fires that hit the country in summer 2021 and caused extensive environmental damage. The image was selected from tens of thousands of images sent by photographers from 140 countries.

Dramatic Storm Waves Crashing Into a Lighthouse Win Weather Photography Contest

Dramatic waves crashing into a lighthouse earned photographer Christopher Ison the title of Weather Photographer of the Year in the Royal Meteorological Society's annual contest. Held in association with AccuWeather, the photo contest is a celebration of weather in all forms. And so, fittingly, the winning photos take us on a journey through icy storms and stunning rainbows.

Winners of the 2022 Nature Conservancy Photo Contest Show the Beauty and Struggles of the Natural World

Every year, the global environmental organization The Nature Conservancy holds a photo contest to show the beauty of nature and what we stand to lose to climate change. The 2022 Photo Contest saw the largest participation ever, with entries from 196 countries across six categories. The winning photos were carefully selected by an expert panel of judges that included conservation photographer Ami Vitale and the host of YouTube’s Brave Wilderness, Coyote Peterson.

Incredible Winners of the 2021 One Eyeland Photography Awards

From over 3,300 images submitted, the One Eyeland Photography Awards has selected its winners. Professional and amateur photographers from 56 countries entered their best photographs, which were judged based on originality and quality of execution. In the end, 23 Camera Trophies, 18 Gold, 53 Silver, 269 Bronze, and 291 Finalists were awarded. Eldon Lau was named Professional Photographer of the Year for his impressive portfolio, which showed the full range of his skills.
